ROC the Day is the annual 24-hour, online event that gives people in our community an opportunity to support the many not-for-profit organizations doing great work in the 9-county Greater Rochester area. It takes place on Giving Tuesday, the National Day of Giving.
This is our 5th year participating in this wonderful local endowment event, and we’re asking you to be a ROCstar and participate too! This year, we’re doing a “Protect the Habitat” drive, where all the gifts we receive will go to the care and feeding of this amazing herd. Your gifts will help us plant more food plots and limit evasive species, so the white deer, and their brown brothers and sisters have a safer environment and the proper nutrition to not only survive – but thrive!
We’re simply asking all our friends and supporters to donate just $5 to help us reach our 24-hour goal of $1941 (which symbolizes the year the Seneca Army Depot opened and this herd of white deer was discovered and began being cared for by the military stationed here).
We’re a non-profit organization whose “soul” mission is the conservation of this amazing herd, and their habitat, ensuring its longevity and accessibility to the public. Our board is very active and engaged, our volunteers and small staff incredibly dedicated and passionate, and our visitors plentiful, but it takes a lot of bucks to get the job done. And every little bit helps! So please, on December 3, help us ROC their world.
