SWD President Named Citizen of the Year
Seneca White Deer, Inc. is delighted that our president, Dennis Money, has received the 2017 Citizen of the Year Award from the Seneca County Chamber of Commerce for his work to protect white-tailed deer at the former Seneca Army Depot in Romulus.   The award was presented at the Chamber’s 50th Annual dinner on January 19, in Geneva NY.

Click here for a video from that presentation.

Dennis is a founding member of Seneca White Deer, Inc, and has been working for nearly 20 years to protect the world's largest herd of white, white-tailed deer.  His work has resulted in a full-scale tour program at the former Depot to allow the public to view the rare deer and the military artifacts on the former Seneca Army Depot.

Dennis lives in Canandaigua and is a well-known conservation advocate. He worked at Rochester Gas and Electric for over 30 years where he was involved with a variety of environmental permitting, asbestos management and environmental auditing projects. Dennis has also been heavily involved with river otter and peregrine falcon restoration programs. He loves outdoor photography and is a member of the Ontario County Arts Council and the Seneca County Tourism Committee.
